After winning key battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin along with others, Trump was able to defeat Kamala Harris in what looks to be a 312-226 finish.

Many Trump supporters had questioned whether there would be any fraud that would sway the election as many believed to have happened in 2020. Either the election was fair or perhaps it was too large a margin to fix. So many Americans are fed up with how the Biden administration has run the country. Many look around and see skyrocketing prices, crime increase, and growing unrest around the world. Kamala Harris made great promises in campaign ads, yet left many wondering why not act on policy now. She is Vice President, her party is in power.

As for Democrats, I would be equally, if not more frustrated. Deprived of the right to choose a candidate. Democrats were stuck with Kamala Harris, who ran in 2020 and had little support. Harris has had little approval from Americans in the last few years. How is such a candidate supposed to stand a fighting chance? Americans should have the ability to use their right to nominate a candidate. Candidates are voted by the people not politicians. If any political party was screwed over this election, it was the Democrats. They screwed themselves.

America Second https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/10/18/america-second/ Fri, 18 Oct 2024 18:26:31 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1917 Thousands of American homes are destroyed. Lives lost and changed. After Hurricane Helene has ripped through many states. The worst affected areas are in Tennessee and North Carolina where entire towns were wiped off the face of the earth. You would expect the federal government to come to the rescue and serve its people. You would be wrong. As billions go to foreign countries’ wars, Americans get nearly nothing in comparison.

The White House has given FEMA nearly 2 billion dollars for hurricane response and recovery efforts. Which sounds great. That is until you realize we have given 106 billion to the Ukrainian government. How is it that there are so many Americans in need and the government can’t give Americans even three percent of what we’re giving to Ukraine, a notoriously corrupt government that is not even in NATO. I’m not saying nothing is being done for hurricane victims. However it is pathetic and shameful that Americans are coming second. The real question should be why? Who is benefiting from this? What corruption within our own government has brought us to this point. Is this a situation similar to Dick Cheney’s involvement and profit from the Iraq War (do a bit of research on Halliburton and the Iraq War) and we just don’t know yet?

This is a continuing pattern of foreign countries getting more assistance than Americans. FEMA has taken the brunt of the blame, but I don’t think that is fair. I believe this goes much higher up than FEMA. This goes back to funding that congress gives. It’s about time that Americans are put ahead of other countries. This is not something that should have to be said.

Breaking: Harris will “follow the law” https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/10/18/breaking-harris-will-follow-the-law/ Fri, 18 Oct 2024 16:21:00 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1906 Kamala Harris just sat down for her first sit down interview  with Fox News of this election. Harris spoke with interviewer Bret Baier about numerous issues that voters are concerned about. Primarily on the border, but also on the economy and Iran. Many were looking forward to hearing Harris’s policies. However, what viewers heard was filibustering with little substance.

The issue first discussed was the border. An issue that has been important to voters yet seems to be ignored and exacerbated by the Biden/Harris administration. Harris acknowledged that the border is problematic and work needs to be done. Which doesn’t really make sense. Why hasn’t she helped to fix it over the past 4 years as Vice President? Whenever Bret Baier pressed Harris on this fact, Harris defaulted to either blaming Trump or stating that as President she would follow federal law. This continued throughout the interview.

Another part of the interview I found interesting was she stated that her Presidency would not be a continuation of the Biden administration. When she stated this, a clip was then played of stating that she could think of anything she would have done differently than President Biden over the past four years. This seems contradictory. If she wouldn’t have done anything different, it seems Biden and Harris are the same politically. For undecided voters this interview gave very little information other than Trump is bad and Kamala Harris will follow federal law. Harris staff cut the interview short, which in my opinion was a bad look for Harris. She would have been better off finishing the interview. While Kamala Harris could have done worse, she left so many questions unanswered for voters.

Yet another Attempt on Trump https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/09/17/yet-another-attempt-on-trump/ Tue, 17 Sep 2024 19:40:00 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1893

Once again an attempt has been made to take the life of former President and current candidate Donald Trump. This time the potential assassin, Ryan Routh, didn’t even get a chance to get a shot off. Routh positioned himself and his norinco sks rifle on the outer perimeter of Trump’s Mar-a-lago golf course. One of the insane parts of the attempt is that phone records show Routh had camped outside in his “sniper’s perch” for 12 hours. How is a man with a rifle able to go undetected for half a day outside of the property of one of the most influential figures in the world. As Trump was playing golf, Routh waited. He was only spotted as Trump was around 300-500 yards away. The muzzle of his rifle was seen by a Secret Service Agent walking hundreds of yards ahead of Trump. The agent then opened fire towards Routh, who then fled. He was apprehended shortly after. Though 300 yards seems far, an experienced shooter could easily make such a shot. It is alarming that yet again a threat was able to get so close to Trump. What will finally be the wake up call to beef up security for the former President? Or will it be too late?

A Breath of Fresh Air For America https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/09/12/a-breath-of-fresh-air-for-america/ Thu, 12 Sep 2024 14:57:23 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1913 Last night America was able to see Vice Presidential candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz go head to head in a debate. Ironically, the Vice Presidential debate was more presidential than the presidential debate itself. I think many Americans are happy with what they witnessed. For once viewers were able to see a civil and respectful debate, something that is very rare in this political day and age.

Both candidates did decently. It has been speculated whether both of these running mates were good picks for their respective candidate. Neither were expected to be picked, especially Walz. That said, this was many Americans’ first time truly hearing the Vice Presidential candidates and many will be pleased.

For the most part the moderators were fair, however there were times where bias was shown against JD Vance. For example his mic was cut while talking about the Biden administration’s immigration policy. This came after the moderators “fact checked”  Vance. It was agreed that the moderators would not fact check. That said, there were challenging questions for Tim Walz. Walz was pressed on the fact he claimed to be at the Tiananmen Square protest during the spring of 1989. This was not true, as Walz was not in Hong Kong until August. Walz stated that he can be a “knuckle head at times”. He did say that the trip changed his perspective on China. This was probably his worst moment of the night.

All and all, I think this debate was a breath of fresh air for Americans. For once we were able to see candidates civilly debate policy without being personal attacks and bickering. Perhaps this can become the norm again.

The Second First Debate https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/09/12/the-second-first-debate/ Thu, 12 Sep 2024 14:35:28 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1886 Last night we got to see the second, but also the first debate of the general election. This time Donald Trump had to face a very different candidate… Kamala Harris. This time around though, Trump did not have the barn burner of a debate he would hope for.

Trump felt sloppy. It seemed both candidates resorted to personal attacks rather than policy. However as odd as it sounds I feel Harris did so in a more graceful manner. Her demeanor seems much more professional. I feel she portrayed herself in a manner that would be more appealing to Americans. However I still believe Harris once again failed to address policy and danced around it. It feels that what she says lacks substance. This seems to be common with her campaign. Perhaps leaving Americans in the dark on her policy is her strategy.

Even though Kamala Harris performed decently, it goes without saying she had a little bit of help. Throughout the night it was obvious that ABC moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis had bias in favor of Harris. On numerous occasions the moderators “fact checked” Trump, but consistently failed to give Harris the same treatment. In general Muir and Davis were harsher on Trump than Harris. While neither candidate gave an exemplary performance, it is no help if Americans cannot trust the moderators to be objective. It seems there was no winner in the debate, only losers. Those losers being the American people.

What do Democrats have planned after the Democratic convention? Not sure https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/08/26/what-do-democrats-have-planned-after-the-democratic-convention-not-sure/ Mon, 26 Aug 2024 18:26:00 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1882 This week the Democratic National Convention was held in Chicago. Not the convention most people expected a month ago. While many Americans were curious to see how President Biden would perform, that is not what the DNC had in mind. Instead Americans have heard the newly formed push for Kamala Harris. Even though the Convention was to promote Harris, it felt more focus was put on Donald Trump. So much of the convention was focused on the “evil” that is Donald Trump rather than their candidate and her policies. Overall there was a severe lack of policy itself discussed. Rather viewers were left with slogans and emotional pandering. Now I am not saying the Republican National Convention lacked this. Emotional pandering and fear mongering has become the state of politics in America. It does feel the RNC had a bit more substance policy wise. It’s been a month since Kamala Harris took Joe Biden place as the Democrats candidate, but it seems unknown what her plans would be as President.

An Inch From Infamy https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/08/15/an-inch-from-infamy/ Thu, 15 Aug 2024 21:38:00 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1862 The bizarreness of this election cycle continues. This time at a new low point. For the first time in over 50 years there was assanation attempts on a Presidential candidate. On Saturday while speaking at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, Former President Trump was shot. Barely, as the bullet only nicked his ear, but had he not turned his head ever so slightly seconds before, who knows what chaos would have ensued.

Had the attempt been successful, what would that mean for the future of our country? Who knows what drastic events this could have triggered. For all we know this could have been the first domino to fall leading to a civil war. What does the mean going forward for both candidates? Trump will certainly have to increase security with only a few days until the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Could this lead a radical Trump supporter to try and take out President Biden? We are not yet sure what the motive of the shooting was, but who’s to say it won’t happen again and next time be successful.

Not to mention the failure and incompetency by the Secret Service. How on earth could someone manage to get a clear shot from a rooftop 150 yards away? Perhaps in a crowded city with many surrounding buildings this would be more understandable, but this was basically a field with only a few buildings nearby. I have seen how serious Secret Service has taken security measures at Trump rallies. I don’t understand how something like this could happen.

There are many questions on how Secret Service dropped the ball, but also how we as a Nation have let ourselves become so divided and aggressive over politics. We forget that the sole purpose of elections is to form a better stronger nation, not tear it apart.

An Insult to Democracy https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/07/22/an-insult-to-democracy/ Mon, 22 Jul 2024 09:41:00 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1865 If you were hoping for a simple and straightforward election cycle you have once again been disappointed. Joe Biden has dropped out of the race and taking his place is Kamala Harris. This is an insult to the election process. If I were a democrat I would be livid. Democratic voters have been deprived of their right to choose a candidate to represent them in the general election. 4 years ago when given a choice, Democrats showed little interest in Kamala Harris. Harris dropped out before the Iowa Caucus. It does not seem fair to voters and other potential Democratic candidates and frankly is a stain on the American election. That’s just the unfairness towards Democrats.

This is also unfair to Republicans. Having to go against a candidate after already campaigning and at this point almost undeniably beating Joe Biden. This comes just days after the Republican National Convention. Had Trump  known Biden would drop out, perhaps he would have picked a different VP. What is for certain is the Trump Campaign spent millions competing against a candidate they won’t even be facing in the general election.

This decision is unfair to both Democrats and Republicans and is a stain on the electoral process. This should be bipartisanly viewed as unacceptable, but it’s not. As Americans we have become complicit and let a small majority take advantage of us without batting an eye. This complacency is an insult to our founding fathers and the core principles of which they founded our beautiful nation. We can only live up to that not just by blindly following party lines, but coming together to hold together our nation.

The Biden vs. Trump rematch: what happened?! https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/2024/06/28/the-biden-vs-trump-rematch-what-happened/ Fri, 28 Jun 2024 18:45:00 +0000 https://www.phoenixrisinginamerica.org/?p=1843 The long awaited debate night has finally come and gone. And it is leaving many in disbelief and democrats scrambling. Former President Trump and President Biden went face to face for the first time since 2020. Since the last debates Trump seems to have gained more control over his tongue, which might win over some voters who were previously repulsed by Trump’s demeanor.

As for Biden, the debate was not as successful. Many, even some Democrats, are calling into question President Biden’s mental state. Throughout the night Biden seemed incoherent and many are concerned about his age, even more than previously thought. His performance is now leaving Democrats scrambling as to whether Biden is fit to continue his campaign. If not him then who? Would Democrats look to Vice President Kamala Harris? With the DNC convention in August, the clock is ticking to make a choice.
